Religiosity, Coping, and Purpose in Life: How Beliefs Help College Students to Deal with Crisis

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relationship between religiosity and coping strategies. Our hypothesis was that religiosity and spirituality are positively correlated with coping mechanisms. The study had 81 undergraduate participants who completed religiosity, spirituality and coping strategies survey. Our findings revealed that our hypothesis was supported.
