Abstract

After exercise intervention, depressive symptoms in sedentary older adults decreased (t(75)=2.79, p<0.01, d=0.297) in a manner predicted by changes in concentrations of cytokines TNFalpha, IL6, and IL18, sex, and baseline depressive symptoms (R2adj.=0.799, F(8,19)=14.45, p=1.4x10-6).
