Abstract

We explored the effect of excitatory transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) over left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex on resting-state brain connectivity in depressed and non-depressed participants, in an attempt to identify mechanisms for tDCS as treatment for depression. Analyses revealed that tDCS alters connectivity between prefrontal and midbrain regions.
