Abstract

A wait-list control design was used to evaluate a school-based mindfulness program for students in an urban K-8 elementary school. Significant positive outcomes following program completion included teacher-reported decreases in emotional and conduct problems; however, quantitative and qualitative results highlight challenges with systemic mindfulness program implementation and sustaining positive gains.
