Dementia Friendly Community Phase 1: Assessing Attitudes and Knowledge of Dementia in University Students and the Community

Individuals with dementia encounter stigma due to lack of knowledge about the disease. Our study measured attitudes and knowledge of dementia in a student population and the community. Results showed a correlation between knowledge and attitudes and indicated that these are influenced by education level and contact.
