Abstract

Retrieval practice was explored as a beneficial study strategy to increase math performance for math-anxious individuals. Results show a positive association between retrieval practice and performance, especially for highly-math anxious students. These findings have implications for interventions designed to reduce the effect of math anxiety on math performance.
