Abstract

This study examined whether 104 college students’ self-reports of gratitude and optimism were related to their life satisfaction. Both optimism and gratitude were independent predictors of life satisfaction scores cross-sectionally, and gratitude predicted increased life satisfaction one month later after controlling for initial life satisfaction.
