Do Whites Score More Than Blacks in the Vocabulary Test? Inappropriate Use of Control for Initial Score

Using racial groups as the predictor variable, I conducted the three analyses: ANOVA on difference score, ANCOVA, and the residual change score analysis. The findings suggested that the difference score method would be the most desirable to evaluate the amount of change for the pre-existing stable groups.
