Abstract

Individuals with Parkinson’s disease (PD) often abandon artistic pursuits because of difficulties in motor and cognitive initiation and execution. Five artists with PD evaluated a painting/drawing system that circumvents problems in initiation, with potential effects on execution. Positive results suggest that targeting mental operations can enhance artistic motor production.
