Reappraisal Strategy of Emotion Regulation Is Related to Working Memory Updating

Participants who scored higher in emotional updating also preferred the use of reappraisal strategy of emotion regulation thereby indicating a positive correlation. However, no correlation was found for suppression strategy and emotional updating. We also found that participants in negative mood were poorer at updating of positive emotional information.
