The Effect of Emotion Words on Visual Awareness Using a Divided Visual Field Paradigm

Abstract
Participants saw an emotion or control word prior to two emotional faces presented outside of awareness. Participants then indicated in which visual field a dot appeared. Participants’ reaction times to the dot differed when presented in the RVF following an emotion-congruent word with the face in that location.
