Abstract
We investigated behavioral problems, cortical thickness, subcortical volumes in a sample of Chinese children double-orphaned by HIV/AIDS, and raised in one of three care settings. Care in kinship and orphanage settings was associated with increased behavioral problems and altered neural structure; care in community group homes with more positive outcomes.
