Abstract

47,XXY occurs in 1:660 males. 75% remain undiagnosed although speech, motor and behavioral dysfunction appears increased. The incidence of anxiety is not understood. The Child Behavior Checklist was completed on 93 boys with 47,XXY. Over 25 percent had symptoms of anxiety. Boys treated with hormonal replacement had significantly less symptoms.
