Translation Ambiguity Modulates L1 Lexical and Conceptual Processing in Bilinguals

Abstract

Words of one language often have multiple translations. We examined whether mapping of an L2 word onto multiple L1 words impacts how these words are represented in the lexicon. Participants completed a LDT combined with ERPs (Exp1) or decided on conceptual relatedness of these words (Exp2).
