Abstract

This study examined rumination as a mediator between attention inflexibility and affect in daily life. Slow visual attention disengagement from negatively valenced faces and fast disengagement from positively valenced faces predicted elevated ruminative tendencies that, in turn, mediated the effects attention inflexibility on happiness levels in daily life.
