Abstract

Many prelingual/culturally Deaf have limitations/deficits in English proficiency and deficits in knowledge of health terminology. Members of this linguistic/cultural minority are limited bilinguals. Older adults will live longer, experience development of, increases in, and extended periods of living with age-related disorders. Health Literacy deficits impact ability to manage age-related disorders.
