Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine how high and low-performing college wrestlers self-regulate during practice episodes and competition. Athletes were interviewed using a microanalytic protocol. Findings showed that high performing wrestlers use more and different self-regulatory strategies than low performers. Implications will be discussed for coaches and athletes.
