Tempted into Tunnel Vision – the Effect of Sex Primes on Construal Level and the Role of Implicit Attitudes Towards Sex

Replicating a result reported in a disputed paper by Förster, Epstude, and Özelsel (2009), we found that imagining a one-night stand results in a low-level construal processing mode. Further examining this effect, we tested whether individual differences in implicit attitudes towards sex would moderate this finding, which was not confirmed.
