Improvements in Preschool Classroom Emotional Climate Increase Student Self-Regulation

Abstract

Using an instrumental variables approach, this project investigates the link between high levels of preschool emotional climate (EC) that resulted from an intervention and students’ attention/impulse control. The effect of classroom EC for those whose classrooms improved their EC post-intervention was a 0.05 point increase in attention/impulse control scores.
