Abstract

Videos of naturalistic play sessions between foster parents and 24- and 36-month-old children
were coded for conversational turns after one of two interventions, focused on either
responsiveness or general child development. Analyses revealed that verbal, but not nonverbal,
conversational turns and intervention condition were related to PPVT outcomes.
