Short-Term and Long-Term Mating Orientation Are Differentially Related to Jealousy in Men and Women

Abstract

Short- and long-term mating orientations explained a small amount of variance in the jealousy experiences of men and women. While a more long-term orientation was associated with more jealousy in both men and women, a short-term orientation was generally positively associated with jealousy in men, and negatively associated in women.
