Negation Mediates Semantic Representations in an Artificial Language Learning Paradigm

Abstract

An Artificial Language Learning experiment was conducted to explore the difference between responding to negated and affirmative contextual cues during semantic learning. After participants learned the pseudo-words in different contexts, eye-tracking was used to explore activation of the target word and its unrelated, paired associate during training.
