Abstract

Chronic stress is linked with many adverse health outcomes, yet how stress relates to certain personality traits remains largely unknown. Using salivary cortisol and alpha-amylase to indicate baseline underlying physiological stress and a personality inventory, the relationship between extraversion and stress was explored and a significant correlation was found.
