The Impact of Gentrification on Officers Use of Coercive Action in Brooklyn

This poster examines if gentrification can influence the use of coercive action by police officers and how neighborhood disadvantage can impact officers decision-making. The results revealed that there is a positive relationship between neighborhoods with high rates of demographic or structural changes and the level of coercion used by officers.
