Abstract

The influences of ancestral and Dutch cultural identities as well as of bicultural conflict were examined with regard to the intercultural experiences of recently immigrated youth to the Netherlands. Dutch, but not ancestral, identity was protective for recent adaptation, however, we highlight the importance of ancestral identity for long-term adaptation.
