Abstract

This study utilised semi-structured interviews with 52 caregivers to explore the factors that influence their choice of mental health services at a faith-healing and medicine program. Treatment seeking behaviour depended on their belief in medicine and/or prayer and personal perspective on mental illness having a medical or supernatural cause.
