Factor Structure of the Trauma Symptom Checklist for Children in a Diverse Sample of Trauma-Exposed 16-Year-Olds

This study evaluated the factor structure of the Trauma Symptom Checklist for Children in a large, multi-ethnic sample of trauma-exposed adolescents. Although the original six-factor model fit the data well, a more parsimonious five-factor solution combining Post-traumatic Stress and Anxiety into a single factor evidenced internal consistency and convergent validity.
