Abstract
The results from a randomized controlled trial targeting low-income parents suggest that parent-child relationships improve following a brief couple-based relationship quality intervention. Further probing of the findings indicate that the intervention effects were greatest for mothers of elementary school-aged children and fathers of middle & high school-aged children.
