Abstract

Educators and researchers often misuse and misinterpret science achievement assessments. This leads to erroneous conclusions about instruction and interventions, as well as decisions made about learners. We analyzed 95 articles using a coding rubric based on The Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing. Results and implications are further discussed.
