Abstract

Participants in the current study either judged how frequently celebrities appeared in the media or rated their attractiveness. Compared to linear and power growth curve models, participants’ judged frequencies regressed on actual frequencies were best represented by a logarithmic growth curve. Attractiveness had a positive on effect on frequency judgments.
