Self-Regulated Learning: An Investigation of the Processes and Impact of Zimmerman’s Model on Student Achievement

This study examined the phases of Zimmerman’s SRL Model and to what extent the phases predicted student performance. While forethought and performance processes were correlated, self-reflection processes were not correlated with forethought or performance. Five SRL processes significantly correlated with biology exam grades: metacognition, strategies, self-efficacy, and predicted grades.
