Abstract

Hypotheses derived from family systems and developmental theories were tested in a regression model (n =156) of the predictors of active concealment of sexuality from mothers, fathers, siblings, and others. In men and women, the model strongly predicted concealment, although the predictors differed by youth gender and parent role.
