Development and Preliminary Validation of the Left-Wing Authoritarianism Index

In the current research, we detail the development and psychometric properties of a novel, multidimensional measure of left-wing authoritarianism and present validational evidence from several independent community samples. Similarities and differences from right-wing authoritarianism are outlined; implications for the psychological underpinnings of political extremism and generalized prejudice are also discussed.
