Impact of Culture on Implicit and Self-Attributed Dependency Scores: A Comparison of Greek and American Adults

Abstract

This study examines self-attributed and implicit dependency in a sample of 135 Greek and 145 American adults. Results suggest that culture and gender interact to impact explicit dependency needs, while culture exerts minimal influence on the expression of implicit dependency needs.
