Abstract

Research suggests links between memory and emotion regulation due to overlapping neural substrates. Relations between these constructs were examined in a sample of 4- to 8-year-old children. Results suggest that parent-ratings of emotion regulation and negativity were related to hippocampal subregion volumes but not to amygdala volumes or temporal memory.
