Testing Predictions of Integrated Threat Theory and Contact Hypothesis for the Attitudes Towards Refugees in the Dutch Province

The study tests predictions of integrated threat theory and (extended) contact hypothesis for the attitudes towards refugees’ integration. Results of analysis of survey data of sample of 1020 inhabitants of Dutch province Zeeland demonstrated that threat, positive and negative contact explained a statistically significant proportion of variance of attitudes.
