The Role of Entitlement and Dominance in Whites’ Dehumanization of Black Americans

The concept of white entitlement and its effects on negative perceptions of racial groups was explored among a sample of White participants via MTurk. Findings indicate that White’s that have high levels of entitlement were more likely to dehumanize Black Americans. This effect was mediated by pro-domination attitudes.
