Abstract

This study examined whether the relationship between depressive symptoms and perceived stress was moderated by emotion regulation in college students. Moderation analysis revealed that maladaptive emotion regulation predicts higher perceived stress at low levels of depression but blunted stress perception at high levels of depression. Clinical implications are discussed.
