Abstract
Intolerance of uncertainty (IU) is elevated in anxiety disorders, but it’s specificity to anxiety dimensions and its cognitive mechanisms is underspecified. Results demonstrated that high IU predicted worry and anxious arousal dimensions and that cognitive flexibility enhanced this relationship. Cognitive flexibility may play an important role in regulating anxiety.
