Abstract

This study examines the relationship between attention, perception, and performance. We investigated if focus of attention moderates the relationship between perception and performance. Changing the focus of attention of an actor can impact performance and perceptional judgments. Results suggest that attention should be considered when evaluating the perception-action system.
