Abstract

This study explores metacognition and mood-congruent recall utilizing an autobiographical mood induction task and judgments of learning. Results replicate the mood-congruent recall effect and suggest individuals in a depressed mood are not very good at predicting the type of material (positive or negative) they are likely to recall.
