Who Switches Schools?: Child-Level Predictors of School Mobility in Middle School

Using data from the Miami School Readiness Project (N = 49,155, 60% Latinx, 35% Black, 5%White/Other), we examined demographic and prior student achievement variables (school readiness at age four, 5th grade GPA and test scores) associated with between-year, non-promotional, within-district school mobility throughout middle school (6th, 7th, and 8th Grade).
