Posttraumatic Growth Often Occurs Following Severe Weather Events

Abstract
Prior research has not examined posttraumatic growth (PTG) in women and men following severe weather experiences. We found that PTG does occur after severe weather. Women who experienced weather trauma reported higher levels of PTG; men who experienced severe weather but no trauma reported more PTG.
