Are College Students Who Perceive Helicopter Parenting More Aggressive and Entitled?

Abstract

College settings present emerging adults the opportunities to become autonomous and move toward adulthood. The current study examined relations between helicopter parenting, entitlement, and aggression. Helicopter parenting was positively associated with self-reported academic entitlement, entitlement rage, anger, physical aggression, hostility, and verbal aggression.
