Math Anxiety: The Roles of Age, Gender, and Parental Education

Abstract

The effects of age group, gender, and parental education on math anxiety were examined among secondary school and college students. Females and older students had higher math anxiety. Paternal (than maternal) education attainment had significant impact on math anxiety. Implications of these findings exist for math anxiety and math performance.
