Mindfulness for Prisoners: Improved Emotional and Behavioral Regulation for Inmates in a Community Reentry Program

Abstract
The Mindfulness Meditation project is collaborative clinical service-research project evaluating the effects of a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program for prison inmates transitioning back to the community. Results indicated that program completion was associated with significant increases in mindfulness and significant increases in inmates’ emotional and behavioral regulation following participation.
