Abstract

We prospectively examined the mediational pathways from maternal childhood victimization to child behavior problems through maternal depressive symptoms and mother-child psychological aggression. Maternal depressive symptoms partially mediated the association between maternal victimization and child internalizing problems. Mother-child psychological aggression fully explained the association between maternal victimization and child externalizing problems.
