Abstract

Studies on the impact of early-life stress on cognitive flexibility are limited. We tested the effect of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) on cognitive flexibility in adulthood. Results suggest that individuals exposed to early childhood adversity may exhibit greater cognitive flexibility than those who have no experience with early adversity.
