Abstract

In a population-based sample of 453 adults, we examined the link between the self-, family-, and others- focus in autobiographical memory, sense of self and well-being. Others-related content in autobiographical memory, compared to self- or family-related content, was associated with extraversion, agreeableness, autonomous/related self, happiness and life satisfaction.
