Abstract

This study determined if young adults’ subjective well-being was related to the perception of their parents’ childrearing styles and cultural orientation. Three hundred participants between 18 - 26 years, from western and eastern cultures, were recruited online. Results revealed parenting styles predicted subjective well-being and culture moderated this relationship.
